6 Questions With Siosaia Vave and Suaia Matagi
1. Both of you have been to various clubs, but it seems like you’re playing your best footy at Parramatta, what’s the difference?
Siosaia Vave: To be honest the coach (Brad Arthur) has a lot to do with it. Brads coaching is second to none, and he’s style of coaching lets us play a lot of footy, so I enjoy that type of footy.
Suaia Matagi: Just love it that Brad Arthur (coach) encourages us and gives us the license to play footy and so there are no restrictions.
2. What is your ‘Go to Outfit?’
Vave: A pair of jeans and a nice polo.
Matagi: Chinos with a nice tee. LOL Also, jeans with a nice top or a jumper hoodie. But for me, easy does it.Photo Credit
3. We asked you, ‘what’s your favourite Antoine & Stanley shoe?’ And, you both chose the Paddington Black boots. Describe the outfit you would wear with it.
Vave: Paddington Black is a nice boot! And, it will go well with a polo and nice pair of jeans.
Matagi: Maybe chinos or jeans with a light top to go with it. Another option will be a white shirt or a red one to add some pop.
4. How excited are you guys to play finals footy and what are your expectations?
Vave: Excited is an understatement! Man, I’m just happy to be playing and enjoying my footy. Hopefully, we can go deep.
Matagi: Really excited to be in the position we are in and especially hearing it’s the first time being in the finals since 2009 so looking forward to it and hopefully making it to the big dance!Photo Credit
5. Who was your favourite player growing up?
Vave: My favourite player was Andrew Johns because he is just so skillful and knowledgeable about the game. He could play today and still be outstanding.
Matagi: Fuifui Moimoi. I love his aggression on the field, but he’s a gentle giant off it.
6. Lastly, sum up yourselves in 3 words?
Siosaia Vave: Fun. Loyal. Respectful.
Suaia Matagi: Loyal. Fun. Respectful.
