The warm summer sun is perfect for outdoor activities and beach adventures, but it can also remind you of your fitness goals or lack of thereof. Whether you are getting fit for summer or fit for life the time is now! Below are three easy ways to get you started.

1. Start an exercise plan.

The first thing you want to do is create a plan. Even if you already have a workout routine, try out new exercises that will help you lose weight and tone your body. You could start doing a few sessions with a trainer or give CrossFit a chance. Exercise doesn’t have to be a huge undertaking, you can take advantage of the nice weather and workout outside. Go for a run, a long walk every day or do yoga at the beach.

2. Stick to a uniform.

Wearing a uniform can make dressing for the gym a lot easier, and it helps with motivation too. You’ll know right away what you’re going to wear and be out the door quicker. To pulls this off, stick with a classic color palette such as white, black and gray. If you are running late get yourself nicer workout clothes that can go from the gym to the office like tailored track pants (preferably in black), white sneakers and a long sleeve hoodie for those busy days.

3. Pay close attention to your nutrition.

If your goal is to lose weight before next fall, consult with a pro (your doctor, trainer or a nutritionist) to develop a food plan that meets your needs. Also, start taking multivitamins daily and use the tips your nutritionist gives you to be healthy for life not just for a special event or the upcoming season.
